About Me
I am an Eastern Washington native. I left temporarily for school, to attend University of Washington, and returned shortly after to this place that I love so much. My husband and I enjoy hiking, camping and spending time outdoors with our three girls and black lab.
I started working as a social worker in 2005 and became a child mental health specialist in 2008. In 2016 I went a different direction with my career and worked as a registered nurse. I have recently returned to social work and doing therapy with a new holistic centered approach to wellness. I treat children, adolescents and adults with a range of issues. I have extensive training and experience working with survivors of trauma. I draw primarily from a Cognitive Behavioral framework, but also utilize Exposure and Response Prevention, Motivational Interviewing as well as Attachment Theory and Parent Child Interaction Theory.
Due to my unique experience and background, I have a strong understanding of the connection between physical and emotional health. My goal is to help you address areas of challenge and build on areas of strength in order to reach your wellness goals.
